Our acceptable use policy and how we use our services

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the Sukrat AI platform (“Sukrat,” “the platform”). It applies to all users — students, teachers, school administrators, and visitors.

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

1. Purpose

Sukrat is an educational tool designed to help students learn and prepare for exams. Its resources — including AI-generated content, practice questions, assessments, and mastery data — exist to support genuine learning. This policy defines the boundaries of acceptable use to protect the integrity of the platform and the students who rely on it.

2. Academic Integrity

2.1 Personal Use Only

Sukrat is for your own learning. You must not:

  • Submit AI-generated explanations, practice answers, or content produced by Sukrat as your own work in school assignments, coursework, or examinations where AI assistance is prohibited
  • Use Sukrat to complete assessed work that is meant to demonstrate your own unaided understanding
  • Share your account or session output with others to circumvent their school's academic integrity policies

2.2 AI as a Learning Tool, Not a Shortcut

Sukrat's AI generates explanations, feedback, and practice content to help you understand material — not to do your work for you. Using Sukrat responsibly means:

  • Engaging with explanations to build your own understanding, not copying them verbatim
  • Attempting practice questions yourself before reviewing AI feedback
  • Using the platform in ways that genuinely improve your knowledge and exam readiness

2.3 School Policies

School-enrolled students are expected to follow their institution's academic integrity and AI use policies when using Sukrat. Where a school's policy is stricter than this AUP, the school's policy governs.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use Sukrat to:

3.1 Circumvent Security or Access Controls

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or restricted areas of the platform
  • Exploit vulnerabilities, bugs, or unintended behaviors in the platform
  • Bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls
  • Use VPNs, proxies, or other tools to disguise your identity or location for the purpose of circumventing restrictions

3.2 Extract or Replicate Proprietary Systems

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the platform using automated tools
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract Sukrat's AI models, mastery algorithms, curriculum knowledge graph, or proprietary question corpus
  • Build competing products or services using data or content derived from the Sukrat platform without written authorization

3.3 Harm Other Users or the Platform

  • Harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against other users
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to disrupt, degrade, or overload platform services (e.g., denial-of-service activity)
  • Impersonate Sukrat staff, other users, or educational institutions

3.4 Misuse AI Features

  • Attempt to manipulate or “jailbreak” Sukrat's AI to produce content outside its educational purpose
  • Use Sukrat's AI features to generate content for commercial redistribution
  • Use the platform to generate content that is harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful

3.5 Violate Laws or Third-Party Rights

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of Sukrat, exam boards, or any third party
  • Violate applicable data protection, privacy, or consumer protection laws

4. Content Standards

If you submit content to the platform (e.g., feedback, notes, or uploaded materials in school deployments), that content must not:

  • Contain personally identifiable information about third parties shared without their consent
  • Contain material that is defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory
  • Infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
  • Contain exam answers, past papers, or mark schemes in a way that violates exam board terms of use

Sukrat reserves the right to remove content that violates these standards without notice.

5. School Administrator Responsibilities

If you are a school administrator or teacher managing a Sukrat institutional deployment, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring enrolled students are made aware of this AUP and your institution's AI use policies
  • Supervising use within your institution to ensure it is consistent with the school's academic integrity standards
  • Promptly notifying Sukrat at legal@sukrat.ai if you become aware of misuse by students in your institution

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

Sukrat may monitor platform activity to detect abuse, security incidents, and violations of this AUP. We do not access session transcripts for routine surveillance. We may review session transcripts only for the limited purposes described in our Privacy Policy: content quality review, AI safety audit, and technical debugging. Any such review is conducted by Sukrat staff under the access controls described in the Privacy Policy.

Consequences for violations may include:

  • A written warning
  • Temporary suspension of account access
  • Permanent termination of your account
  • Notification to your school or institution (for school-enrolled users)
  • Referral to law enforcement where the conduct is unlawful

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP — including misuse of AI features, unauthorized access, or academic integrity concerns — please report it to legal@sukrat.ai.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice via email or in-product notification.
